I'm Stayin` Home from Church because It's Cold; Proof that God DOESN'T Control the Weather?

Well, he DOESN'T; but 'my staying home' has nothing to do with "whether God controls the weather."
(I wouldn't be going to church for "God" anyway, but -for my there-adopted family whom I met because they all share the same 'God' as an elsewhere-adopted family of mine ... whom I met at school or work or in the neighborhood or at the church my parents took me to when I was younger ... or something like that. Or not.)
But God DOESN'T control the weather. We know this because the Holy Bible (linked) tells us that the prince of the power of the air is Satan.
The song "God Is In Control" ... that's just sayin` 'He isn't going crazy & hurting people that much ' (tho I'm sure you've heard stories about crazy people who claim that God TOLD THEM TO hurt people; you know that they're just being crazy, because God--rather than 'hurting people'--'lets' them hurt themselves )

True Satan is able to do many destructive things with the weather God can still change it if it is his will. I have seen snow not come down until we were through with our caroling and the minute we were through it started to snow. Another friend told how a bad hail storm was on its way to their property to destroy their hay but it stopped right at their fence and then picked up on the other side. I think he may interfere on many occasions that we don't know about because the devil is determine to destroy us one way or another.

Something about eternity---it's always NOW. Him telling us to "Hold dominion" all those millenia ago is no-different then than it is NOW!
So NOW, he has STILL given all power to his children!

@Hopefull90 and Jesus defeated sin & gave dominion back to us (if you insist on 'being outside of eternity & -stuck in time' like that).

@mythociate We were given dominion over all things until sin came into the world.

God will and does use the weather to bring judgement. what do you think the flood was all about.
God does not tell his children to kill anyone..God gave us all the freedom to make our own choices. and God also holds us accountable and gives us consequences for the choices that we make.
Just look at the usa...the more we remove God from the land and make laws that go against his word..the more he lifts his hand of protection....If the USA does not repent, and turn back to God it will be destroyed

Floods happen. The only thing that makes it "God" who did that is PEOPLE WHO BLAME HIM FOR IT.

@mythociate Yes Floods happen But the flood that took the world was God. Noah was told to build the ark..and he preached about the flood coming for 120 years. Who blames God...He took out all the evil...and look how long it has taken for it to get back to being more evil now than it was back then...We also know that this earth will not be destroyed again with a flood because of His promise. How much longer do you think God is going to wait before he destroys all evil again..this time for good.....

@mythociate It is not about what happens to the flesh or Humans as you put it...It is all about what happens to the spirit...if you have accepted Gods free gift of Salvation you will not die but have everlasting life with him.
and yes the total destruction of this earth is coming..and too many people are blind to it just like they were in Noah's day.....

Nature controls the weather and we have no control over nature.

@mythociate ..Yes we are going to be like Christ...But we will not be Christ....The older i get the more i become like my Mom, but i will never become my mom.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

@dpk262006 @dlr297 No! JESUS HIMSELF said "All power in Heaven & on Earth is given unto me." This was BEFORE He was 'set upon the throne.' That was right-when He told His disciples to 'baptise all in His name' (the "Trinity" part was ADDED by Tertullian!)
"Discipleship" is 'training the disciple to BECOME the master.' If we were not meant to BECOME Christ like that, Jesus would have called His disciples 'His servants or -slaves or -fans.'
And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, a

I thought that we the people are the church. So then technically you can't stay away from church because it is kind of attached to you.

If you rip your door off of your house and sleep under it on the street (and lose the rest of the house), you're still homeless even though you still have 'your house' with you - i.e. ALL THE PEOPLE are the church (like the Bible says, "we are all parts of the body"), but 'one part alone' does not 'the whole' make!

@mythociate Unfortunately, there are some churches where someone in the crowd think they are the "whole."
