If a person says you flatter their ego what do they mean?
This guy told me that when I flirt with him it flatters his ego. I told him that I wasn't flirting just to flatter his ego and that I do it because I want him. He asked me what the hell are we and laughed asking what was wrong with me.
What did he mean by this? Also what did he mean when he asked what are we?

You are making them feel good about themselves. It seems like he doesn't have much confidence to begin with so he is having a hard time believing you are interested in him. That or he is just shy. If you are serious, talk to him some more and offer to exchange contact info.

i think it's just suppose him to be unconfidence...if you don't like him, just continue to do this, and then he would lost himself. but, if you like to be his friend,just show him what is he wrong to be a smart boy.

I think the guy is just playing with your emotions. He is not taking your advances seriously instead thinking that you are trying to woo him and you are flirting. You should better clearly tell him your real feelings about him and explain your stand to him.

From a mans point of view. I think the guy has a serious lack in confidence and doesn't know when a girl is genuinly interested in him. Your gonna need to be straight forward with this one he's not going to understand any other way.

I think in this case of relationship, the guy isn't serious about it ans not ready to be in relationship. May be he is already in relationship with some one else or he is committed to other goals/priorities. If you can talk straight to him about what you think about him instead of flirting, he will be able to understand you in better way which will convince him about your real feelings. Just try to speak instead of flirting
