Well, if you really think about it, the payment isn't that much. It would take us a couple of months or years just to reach the 10 dollar mark. Stopping the payment system is a great choice. Why? Simply because, of course, the website owner wants to have a good benefit out of his/her website. If you happen to notice, when mylot is paying, the topics posted most of the times are copied and pasted, recycled and to some extent non-sense. Hello, mylot owner has to generate income too. I am sure the main reason why it stopped the payment is it was penalized by google during the recent panda and penguin updates due to low quality posts. Of course when a site is penalized by google the organic traffic dies. The idea of stopping the payment is to save the website from dying. To regain the organic traffic from search engines. Besides, the contents posted now aren't motivated by the payment thus making more quality posts which google and other search engines love.
