does psychologist really can work?

i have a friend,he was addicted to internet so much since his grandmother passed away.he care nothing even his own stuff.he hates his parents and i dont know why.i am thinking about hire a psychologist to help him out,is psychologist really can work?

It is good idea to take him to a psychiatrist or a Counselled. He is apparently addicted too much towards internet so counselling will help her understand what is important in life and how to maintain balance in life.

I don't think so you should consult anyone , well he thinks that the virtual world is better then the real world ! It happens , people get addicted to the internet but It should not happen as it could destroy your social life.

They do help I think but when I hear about how all these people who have shot up a bunch of people or flew a plane into the ground after they have been to a psychologist I have to wonder just how much help they are. I know one of the worst kids in our school had a psychologist for a father.

You may or you may not , See if you think you can make him realize his worth and bring him back into the social world then you should try it again , if you cannot then I think you can take him to a counselor or a doctor , but the first method has more positives.

your friend may need counseling psychologist.this will help him/her to get rid of this
