Hunan embroidery is a traditional Chinese manual craft. It has a long history of more than 2000 years to date. Enbroidered with pure silk, hard satin, soft satin and various colors of silk, wool needlework, through the rich color thread and protean stitch, the characters, animals, landscape and flowers and birds on the embroidery image have special artistic effect.
On the basis of traditional Chinese painting, Hunan embroidery ingeniously to the traditional Chinese painting, embroidery art, poetry, calligraphy, and a variety of inscriptions, using more than seventy kinds of stitch and more than one hundred kinds of color, give full play to the expressive force of stitch, embroidery image is vivid, colorful and most wonderful.
