Is Rap Music Here To Stay Or Will Good Music Replace It ?

Ever since the late 1980's we have had to put up with this tribal music we call Rap, really who actually designed the idea in the first place was it a person who could not sing, dance or play good music who came up with this music with talking in it, surely we have not regressed to the stone age, it certainly seems like it. we have all this beautiful classical music, country and rock and roll music that is essentially good taste then Rap comes along and ruins everything, even good singers seem to need a rapper in it to make a hit record, I can't see why good singers need Rappers it is more like Rappers need a good singer as there abilities seemed stretched on this music virus called Rap, some of which is associated with crime and anti social behaviour, please give your thoughts on this.
