Are pets safe for a period at a storage unit of moving services?

I'm thinking of moving to Washington in few months time and I've already booked a moving service, Armstrong Moving Ontario, to take care of package and transfort of home items. I've taken their facitlity of storage unit, for a weeks time, so that in the mean time I can visit my family. On a second thought I'm thinking of sending my pets along with the home items, but not sure how safe they will be at the storage facility. Have anyone tried this option with Armstrong Moving or any other moving service? Thoughts on it.
