What is going on with teenagers nowadays?

Here we are it is 2006 pretty close to 2007. I keep seeing on the news and reading in the newspapers about these teenagers who are killing, committing suicide, beating people and other things of that nature. I know all teens are not that way but it seems as if these type of incidences are on the rise. Is it becuase the lack of a parent in the household? Is it violent videogames? Is it because parents are not tkaing time with there children? All I know is there are beutiful people and lives being ruined before they have a chance to really experience life. Is it just me? What do you think?

Lack of parenting skills and presence. Kids can't be left to grow up on their own, they need guidence. I think reading "Lord of the Flies" even though fictional, will tell what happens when a child is left on their own for a long period of time!
