Beijing International Cycle Expo 2015 and the 4thBeijing Cycling Festival will be held in Beijing BaDaLing International Exhibition Center in June 26-28, 2015. It's an important city in the mainland that is open to the Mongolia and Russia, and also a key city in the west that connects the Northwest and the North of China. Comparing with other provincial capitals, the distance between Beijing and Hohhot is the shortest except for Tianjin and Shijiazhuang. The development of the overall Hohhot bicycle industry is rather stable, but the present market mainly focuses on comprehensive middle-end and low-end bicycles. It's hardly to see high-end bicycle stores here. Hohhot MERIOA Flagship Store--- Located in West Zhongshan Road, this three floor MERIOA Flagship Store is the agency of GAMMA and Trek. The Organizing Committee discussed with the general manager about the local market and the general manager said sales volume was higher in spring. A series of brands entered Hohhot market few years ago, which made the competition more fierce. The club of this store retained sound local marketshare, good reputation and popularity by holding brand activities. Since local consumers mainly purchased middle-end and low-end bicycles, the high-end market needed further promotion. The general manager was also interested in Green Facility and Ride & Gather, All Roads Lead to Beijing and called on cyclists to participate in those activities. Tonghui Sports---This store focuses on TRIACE in Hohhot and it's owner is a triathlon athlete who started to take part in triathlon since he was young and is now a member of Hohhot Triathlon Association. He also loves running and marathon. The owner said those sports he played not only brought him many awards which were hung on the wall now but also gave him good health. He hoped that he could motivate more people to join cycling. Those bicycle clubs play an important role in promoting the development of the local bicycle market. They are not only selling bicycles but also promoting bicycle culture, and gradually influencing locals' awareness of bicycles. In the past bicycles were means of transport, but now apparently they have become ways of leisure. Cyclists can use bicycles for commuting and outdoor sports, enjoying the fresh air and beautiful scenery at the same time, serving their multiple functions. Bicycles gain popularity due to their convenience and good combination with other means of transportation.
