BOYCOTT RELIGIOUS DISCUSSIONS

I might actually have to agree with this since I can't express my opinions on GOD without being attacked by every one on the internet.

So true. I'm an atheist and I don't hate people just because they believe in a religion. I think most of the world would be better off if there was no such thing as religion. But then again, people would find other topics to be hateful and judgmental about lol. I have so much faith in human kind - can ya tell? lol

well, sumtimes they pave us the way for right one....

i havent seen no discussions were christains were putting down muslims.

I think one should worry about his future.. You should know where will you go when you die? What are you?.. Answers to these questions are unknown and we should search for it...

This is a discussion forum where people come to discuss their views on different things. Expressing ones thought is part of that. If you do not like the topics then don't reply to t hem or read them. it is really as simple as that. We have had enough things stripped away in this world, debates and discussions should be the last thing anyone would like to take away.

yes i agree those discussions should be ignored.

i dont think so.There should be discussions but it should be friendly.Through discussions we can get more ideas whatever it is.

i think we should not boycott all religious discussions.we can know more about each religion and know different views on it. but i think discussions like 'which is the true religion' should be avoided as it can breed hatred.mylot is a community where all of us should remain friends,helping each other and we shouldnot be any fights

yea but freedom of speech does count here too.

To me those are some of the most interesting discussions on myLot. If it wasn't for them I might not be here. Besides it is something I feel very strongly about. I think it is one of the biggest problems facing our planet. There are some other really big problems like global warming and such but I like all the fighting in the religious discussions. Makes for entertaining reading!

Ok I'll support your boycott of all religious discusssions if you will support a boycott for "pepsi or coca cola". "Do you like me", "Am I pretty", "how many times do you brush your teeth", "what is your favorite mouth wash".....Do you want me to go on. Of course, you can always send a message to myLot asking that they ban religious discussions. Or....if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen. My apologies to all those that I may have offended with this response....it is not written in malice. Please forgive me.

Yes, totally agree.

I won't boycott religeous discussions. I find them to be the most interesting discussions on mylot. Far more interesting than most other discussions. I only decide to not comment on name calling or outright hate speech in these discussions. Banning things and censorship.... Where are you from? I hate censorship and even if people are nasty they should be allowed to be. NOT all of these discussions are about hate anyway so what are you talking about? There are a lot of things that can be learned from them.... You think the people that fight on here will get along if religeous discussions are banned? I can tell you proof positive that you are WRONG. I know of two certain people that follow another around mylot insulting them on every topic they respond to.... This wouldn't stop if religeous conversations stopped. Sheesh take everything away and NOT let anyone make up their own minds huh?

I was taught as youngester never to bring up religion and politics in general disussion unless you wanted to get into a heated debate and more often develope into an all out argument. Misunderstandings seem to come about during religious discussions because one is challenging the other and they have to defend their belief. If people can stand back a moment and think about it - Ones belief is a solid foundation a person bases nearly everything upon. It is like a security blanket, belief is not necessarily formed around religion or of particular denominationsal faith. - Even athiasts have belief and faith. When another person questions the others belief they are prodding or pricking it which is also part of that person. They perceive their belief system under survellience and up goes their armour to protect themselves from attack. Sometimes the person will attack first out of protection..

You are right, religious discussion often take us to conflicts and breed hatred. But here on Mylot, I haven't seen such things yet, I think of this community as a peacefull one that is open to other cultures and only share their point of view, not force it into our heads.

hey, i like debating christians, and i am one....religion and politics creates the msot debates...but hating on muslims is just wrong...i say you can only bash what you are...

I agree with you vivian... Lets stop the religion discussion... I think whats the best thing to do is to understand every individuals culture, practice and church affiliation... Lets resect everyone in this world............
