Evening all, except for some of you it may still be morning and for others midday. If you're still asleep then I'll whisper this. "Hello", I have emerged from a couple of years self imposed exile from myLot and am back only because it appears that the owners of this site wish to make a proper go of it again. I'll be honest, I castigated them when they pulled the plug on what had been a vibrant and (relatively speaking) lucrative site. One could make a penny of two whilst interacting with friends old and new and the garden was seemingly lovely. Then the dark winter closed in and there was no prospect of a thaw, until now. Whilst there's no sign of the green shoots of spring yet appeared, deep below ground I understand that the earth is warming up and life may well be stirring. I do hope so. In the meantime, I'll stomp about on the surface waiting to see if anything appears. Come and join me in my wanderings. They'll invariably be without aim or purpose, but it will be fun hopefully.

Curiosity has overtaken me, and I am back.
Tiptoeing through the site, from whence we had our beginnings of a friendship that extended beyond the sordid mess that apparently was the previous owners.
I do hope the previous previous owners do good again.

Well, I am still trying to get used to the layout and everything. I think I've worked out how to find most stuff. So I will be around but probably not particularly active for a little while.

Welcome back, Mr Pikefish! Much water has gone under the bridge and a great deal of it has been highly polluted in the last couple of years, but a new bridge is building, the pollution has been abated and there is every sign that, this time, it may work and we shall see fish in the river again.
Many people said (before the revamp of the site and the ending of the earnings program) that they "weren't here for the money", yet most of them up and left in high dudgeon (or should that be 'gudgeon'?). Now, many are returning, in the hopes that MyLot will be what it was again. Perhaps, indeed, it is partly the scent of money which is drawing many back, but I cannot believe that that is the only thing.
For six years, MyLot was a community which drew people together in a very special way. The evidence is that, after two years and some very hard feelings in some cases, many of the people who first met on MyLot have kept in touch and are now coming back. I find that immensely exciting and encouraging and I know that the new owners - who are also the original owners from way, way back - find it so, too. In fact, I believe that they were partly persuaded to try to revive the site by seeing the number of old members who had joined Facebook groups as MyLot exiles. @PhredWreck can tell you more about that!
