Windows 10

I decided to check my emails one last time before going to bed on July 29. I got a notification right away that Windows 10 was ready to be installed. It was late and I thought it will probably take forever to install but I better get it done. So I did and was presently surprised. It downloaded and then uploaded rather quickly and well within a half an hour it was done.
Of course I was freaked out like I was when I got Windows 8. Where is my desktop? How do I get to my sites? It is very self explanatory and, I think, even easier than Windows 8 was.
Do you have it? Do you like it?

I have to agree that it's a lot smaller learning curve to go from Windows 7 to Windows 10 than it was for me to go from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1. I still haven't really mastered 8.1, but then again it's on a computer that I use almost exclusively for browsing the web on the road and running Swagbucks videos at home.
I just finished upgrading my main computer to 10... not really liking it so far. The File Explorer system is different, although it's easy enough to figure out. I'm a little annoyed that I don't seem to be able to pin my Documents library to the Taskbar. That was something I used constantly with Windows 7/8.1, so it's definitely going to take some getting used to.
Lots of useless apps to delete, and I suppose I'll try to figure out how to customize appearances. I'll give it a few days and see if it grows on me, but I'm expecting to revert back to 7 by the end of the week. I'll probably give it a go on the 2-in-1, though... I do like it a lot more than 8.1 from what I've seen.

I don't care for the files explorer. Confusing. Had just gotten used to 8;1 and now this. Ugh! I am not a liker of change anyway.

@celticeagle Yeah, I don't, either. I've basically set all of my commonly-accessed stuff to the Quick Access bar on the top of the window, and don't even bother with more than that.
I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I like it after a week, though. Like I said, I was expecting to revert back to 7 by this point. The only actual issue I ran into was with printer compatibility, since there isn't a driver that will let me use my ancient old LaserJet with 10 as a USB printer. I'm hoping they'll have one out for it soon.

Using Windows 10 will present no difficulty for me because I ran the Windows 10 evaluation program for a long while. This was problematic at first but improved rapidly as new releases became available.
I only recently reverted back to Windows 7 on my laptop, which was in order to qualify for the free upgrade. This put me at the back of the queue, so I downloaded the Media Creation Tool and upgraded manually.
I would suggest that you download the Media Creation Tool now so that you can create an iso with which to create an install disk. This will allow you to reinstall Windows 10 as a clean install if have any problems in the future.

It will take some getting used to for me. I upgraded from Windows 7. Took me a couple days to locate the power options. I have yet to figure out how to search with in Windows. It keeps taking me to internet searches instead. I'd love to find the snipping tool. Hopefully it even has one. So far it's alright. I am playing around with the settings.

I can imagine going from Win7 to Win10 would be quite a difference. It sure was for me when I went from Win7 to 8. I think you will like though once you get it installed and check it all out. Not sure what the tools you mention are.
