I don't know about you but i feel this is just one way to promote business for beanie babies to have a come back instead why not just send money to a charity of wildlife?

Really! I have a few beanie babies, kitties and giraffes mostly. In fact, I believe that is exclusively... I love my giraffes!

@Rosekitty I've know a few others, but at least one has a valuable one... probably not worth the cost of all the others.

I heard about this and I'm not sure how it makes me feel. On one hand good for them commemorating something that will probably be remembered and talked about for some time. On the other hand how dare they profit off this terrible ordeal. Now on the flip side if they were going to donate part of the proceeds to an animal rescue charity then I feel like this could be a commendable act. Either way who's going to buy them, its not 1998 anymore.

I like stuffed animals and beanie babies, although I have more stuffed animals than beanie babies. I do not care about the "resale value", because I have them for my enjoyment alone. If you are a collector, though, then it is not good when the demand plummets.

There are a lot of people who still collect Beanie Babies. While I do agree that profits were probably a factor in their decision to make this one, I don't think they were necessarily trying to "make a comeback." I also think maybe this is just their way of paying homage and expressing their sadness that this happened, and people who care about it will buy it. Idk. -Zero

I agree with you. It would be so much better just to donate directly to some animal organization. I do happen to have some beanie babies though, but ones I got years ago
