They couldn't have picked a worse day to start paying...

All those assignments I put off this weekend are due at midnight tonight, which meant I had to spend the day on the road getting them completed.
Believe it or not, I actually like that part of the work I do... well, aside from the times it takes me into some of the seedier parts of town like it did today.
And I'm kind of ahead of the game since I discovered OneDrive after reformatting my computer. I used to have to manually transfer my files to my computer from my iPod. Now the app does it all automatically for me, and I can download them on my PC in a conveniently zipped file as soon as I get home.
So, by all accounts, I should be buzzing through all of the reports I have to do like nobody's business.
But my earnings are sitting there, taunting me. And there are more familiar faces in the Interesting tab tonight. It'd be so easy to procrastinate more...
I guess I should just be thankful that I don't have anything scheduled for tomorrow, huh?

Were just here if you come back. Im planning to reformat mine next year since it's been slow because of my recent downloads. good luck with that, for me it's not the same as it was before. others just don't want to come back.

It's definitely not the same. I don't like the redesigned format any more now than I did when it was first changed, but I'm happy to see so many old members here again. It's been nice to fall into the familiar conversation habits if nothing else.
I can't say I blame anyone who doesn't want to come back. A lot of people were upset about the huge changes that were thrown on us. It should have been handled a lot more tactfully than it was.

@topffer I got most of them submitted before midnight. If everything goes well on the company's end, they'll be approved today and I'll be paid for the work tomorrow. If not, I'll have to wait until they pay again in 2 weeks.
I did put off entering the last one until this morning, but it was the one that had a 12-hour reporting window. All of the others were due by midnight. And I lucked out with one of the locations I had. I didn't have to complete that assignment because it had closed and another business was opening there soon. I'll get paid the full fee from the company, too, which is really nice. I actually knew ahead of time that it was closed, but still had to go to the location to verify.
I'm kind of double-dipping on this one, because I have another assignment at the same location later this month. If they don't cancel it, I'll just submit the closed location report without going to the location a second time.

Relax. There is always another day. Don't blame me if I ask you to throw some light on what exactly you do out there - all that is Greek to me

@yukimori Interesting! When you 'get them' do you feel accomplished or sorry for those who are on the wrong side of law?

@yukimori I suppose you are only doing your duty and doing it well regardless of what effect that will have on those who you report on.

@allknowing Actually, I never really know what 'gets them.' I'm given the forms to complete and told what the client is looking for by the companies that schedule the jobs, but they don't tell me what 'good' or 'bad' responses to the questions are. Sometimes I can guess, though. I don't like it when I can tell that the location didn't do well, because it means they weren't up to their company's standards.
I think there was one that I did for a company where one of the employees was out of uniform. Normally that's not a big deal, but this employee was wearing clothes that had offensive images on them. I had to report exactly what I saw, and I'm pretty sure that employee lost his job since I haven't seen him at that location since then.
So I do feel bad that my report brought that to the company's attention, but the consequences are a result of his actions, not my report. He made a poor choice and decided to wear something he wasn't supposed to wear to work. Hopefully he'll take it as a learning experience and apply that knowledge to his next job.

Some days it is so easy to postpone what we need to complete.
Other days it is a little easier.
Good luck with your scheduling for tomorrow.
