One Year Since Mike Brown Was Killed

Hi Lola, Great post. I am an avid news junkie, so I've also been following a lot of the recent cases of police brutality. I understand that there have been a lot of racial issues in the Ferguson/St Louis area, and they have been going on for a very long time. It saddens me greatly that the human race finds it necessary to divide itself based on trivial details such as race, gender, religion, etc. I saw a lot of footage of the riots that happened there.. honestly it's sometimes hard for me to believe that something that crazy could happen here, in America - it looked like a warzone from a foreign country.. something you'd expect to see in Iraq or Syria. I'm curious though, what is so special about this weekend? I haven't really heard anything about it. Last time there was a lot of news saying that there may be riots after the Darren Wilson trial. -Zero
