Your sibling is the best friend from the same parents. He/she is everything, like literally everything – from the best friend to the worst enemy. There may be times when you got so angry on your brother or sister that you started to wonder if life would have been better without any sibling; and there surely were times when you realized that your life would have been so incomplete without your sibling.
If you have experienced these moments in your life, you surely are blessed with the best sibling in the world!!
#Your sibling passed on his/her share of your favourite snack to you, making silly reasons like, “I am full” or may be, “I am not liking its taste today”.
#Your sibling finished your glass of milk too after his/her own glass, because he/she knew that you hate milk more than him/her and didn’t want you to get scolded by your parents.
#On a bad mood day of yours, your sibling made a phone call to your parent in office, asking to bring home your favourite chocolate or snack or your favourite item for dinner.
#Your sibling tried to save you from your parents beating and so got some beatings himself/herself while covering you.
#Your parents had to visit a relative’s place and your sibling missed a friend’s birthday party or a day out with friends so that you were not left alone at home.
#Your elder sibling went to your classroom to solve your fights with friends or to threaten your classmate who tried to bully you.
#Your sibling saved his/her pocket money to buy your birthday gift.
#Your sibling convinced your parents to give you permission for something you never expected like a picnic to a distant place with your friends.
#You could share your relationship secret with your sibling without any fear. Even if he/she blackmailed you, you knew that he/she would never let it reach your parents’ ears.
#Whenever you were sad or depressed, you could message or call your sibling before calling your best friend.
Share your experiences too!

One time I did have one sister stick up for me to my parent, but it did not turn out so good. I am not so blessed with the sibling area of life. We are all scattered to the wind, and growing up, I was like the Mom because oldest..I wished we were closer, but not to be. It is a blessing to have good relationship with siblings on this earth.

@TiarasOceanView Memories are the best because they never change like situations do.

Everything was hunky dory until nieces and nephews grew up took over. It is not the same any more. They do not want to share their parents.

@phoonk My sister immediately older to me and I were the best of friends. We spoke in the 'P' language but that is history now.

@allknowing Oh the "P" language!! Something I loved during childhood. Eventually memory is all that remains!

@allknowing That is a sad part of human life. It would eventually happen to everyone. Just like we took away our parents from their siblings.

@phoonk Not really. I have had wonderful parents, but I cannot say the same for my sibling. I tell often "we are choosing our friends but not our family" so I have to live with this, and as we are not in the same area, it is not difficult at all. But I would have preferred to have sibling like yours

An interesting post.
You have listed out many examples and I am sure those who have siblings would have experienced some of the examples mentioned by you.
You have not mentioned whether you have taken these examples from your personal life or these examples are in general in nature? I understand that you have brother(s)/sister(s) with whom you enjoy good relationship?
My only sibling (read younger brother) is certainly a source of strength for me. We both are married and have kids and whenever we face odd situations we consult each other to overcome our problems. I feel life would be pretty dull and boring without a sibling. Now a days parents keep their families small due to so many reasons. It may be two or three kids in a family and some parents are even contended with a single child. In this scenario one misses the feeling of belonging to 3-4 number of siblings.
Have a nice day!
