Gifts, a joy when handmade!

So we all have friends and family that we love and we all just love buying for them presents every now and them. And receiving one ah what pleasure it brings to unwrap a little box tied with a bow. Personally though i end up making things for my friends simply because well yes i adore them but mainly because when it comes to shopping i am pretty clueless. I dont understand what to buy for my friends that would make them feel special, sure there are presents in stores out there but there not specifically made for our dear ones are they? So I usually sit down and think about all the crazy things that my friends do and what i could possible make for them to let them how special they are. One time i made a collage of my friends life using caricatures it was kind of funny but i guess she liked it. It sure was more fun then buying something for her. So anyone else ever gave a handmade present to a dear one? Tell me about it.
