The latest break-ups: muppets Kermit & Miss Piggy, www.webpronews.com/blake-shelton-gives-first-interview-after-finalizing-divorce-to-miranda-lambert-2015-08 country-singers Blake Shelton & Miranda Lambert.
UPDATE 8//6/15 www.vh1.com/news/46719/jennifer-aniston-married-one-year-after-brangelina/ Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux (tho I've never heard of him ... that I know-of)
Some www.cnn.com/2015/08/04/entertainment/gallery/celebrity-couples-breakup/index.html celebrity-couples seem to 'go the distance' despite always being victims of breakup-rumor.
But have any celebrity-couples celebrated 25-year anniversaries? 50? ... 100? The longest relationship I could see was magazine.foxnews.com/love/hollywoods-longest-lasting-couples Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn's 29 years! and THEY HAVE NEVER MARRIED EACH OTHER (though Goldie was married twice before)!

It seems that the ones that last are people you don't hear of 24/7. Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth of Talking Heads have been married for 38 years. There was Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, married for 50 years...of course, that was "back in the old days."

I guess a lot of the celebrities start thinking that they're worth more (to 'eternity' or whatever) if all their 'press' points to "what they are famous for doing," and 'being a good spouse' somehow doesn't gel with 'being an effectively-good performer.'

It's hard for these celebrity couples to last long because they live in a world full of temptation. And money just seem to be what patches things but then eventually becomes the reason to fall apart.
