I would think you should be okay to clean it with a damp cloth or something similar. I would probably suggest removing the battery prior to doing so just as a percaution. Just make sure to not get water or cleaner inside your mouse and make sure its dry before you put the battery back in and you should be good.

This is good to know (see the others' previous responses), but I'll probably have to 'bookmark' this (or 'Add to Favorites') in order to remember this for when my wireless mouse gets yucky.
