One of my dogs is 3 years old and huge she weights 105 pounds and my puppy is now 8 months old and weighs around 32 pounds. I taught my older dog to ring the door bell when she has to go outside and she taught the puppy to do that also. We don't have a doggy door because of the critters who would enter through the doggy door. Now I am working with the puppy to sit and wait and she is doing good with the sit part but does not like the wait part. If you have pets what kind do you have and are they your companions like mine are.

aww that is so cute! My dog can't do anything special like that lol But when he needs to go outside he will either run to the back door and just sit there until you let him out or he will stare at you a certain way. If he wants to come back in he will tap on the glass door lol

So cute when they let you know they need to go out no matter how they do it. @VivaLaDani13

My husband and I have a dog, a cat, a guinea pig and 5 rabbits. Our dog is a Golden Retriever and he is 6 years old. He is a very active dog and he loves to play. We got our cat from a shelter. She was two years old at that time and very scared. We bought 3 of the rabbits and we got the other two from a friend of a friend. Our guinea pig is also from a shelter, and she 5 years old.

@Marcyaz Yes, a betta is a fish. And no, they don't all get along, particularly the chihuahua and the cat. The cat is an older cat that had belonged to my mom. In fact, I'm not even sure of his age. I think that she might have gotten him around '97 or so. My chihuahua is still just pup at 8 months old. She is much to hyper for the cat! lol

I have two beautiful Brittanys who are so sweet! They are close in age, but I have seem similar things where they teach each other things. One taught the other how to nudge open the back door when it is closed. They are very smart and don't really get easily engaged with toys of any kind, especially since they are getting older. I like to play games with them, like the waiting game, so they both have to sit and wait until I walk all the way around the kitchen island and if one gets up, neither get a treat, but once they do wait they come running from around the island for their treat! Also, hide and seek. I ask them to wait and then leave the room and find some place away from sight and then call to them and they come find me! :)

Ah Treesaver Brittanys are sweet and smart dogs. They do teach each other things which is good. My older dog today went with my son and my puppy sat here and whined because the older one left and she didn't. My older one does not need to go on a leash but the puppy hasn't learned to stay by us when off leash.
