A friend of mine on another writing site spoke favorably of myLot, so I thought I'd join. I'm happy with my initial look around, I must say. What better place to start than an introduction. I'm a music geek. Country music (COUNTRY music, not that pop, rap, and "hick-hop" they laughingly call "country music" today) is the music of my soul, but that doesn't mean that I won't tell you that I think London Calling by the Clash was one of the best albums of the 70's! I write and give presentations on a music in a more scholarly fashion, but that doesn't mean I won't gush about something I love. My all-time favorite singer is Jim Reeves, which is where the name "Four Walls" comes from (it was a big hit for him in 1957 and is considered to be the song that launched the so-called "Nashville sound" era of country music). When it comes to music, I'm extremely opinionated. If I don't like something, I'll gladly tell you -- just don't take it personally, because it's not you, it's the song/singer/ Hoist anchor (I'm a Navy veteran, so that seems the appropriate thing to say), let's get this voyage underway!!
