It has been a while, though, and in the meantime I have taken up golf. In fact, I have to get up early to play in the morning, so here it is again, choosing between mLot and sleep! I hope it doesn't rain before we finish our 9 holes. My photo shows Hole 13 of our golf course after a big rain, as taken from my living room. We didn't get any water in our home, but my friend across the street had to move because her house flooded in that one. Have you ever lost your home in a disaster? I think that would be devastating.

Hiya! One reason that I moved from my hometown to down south of the country is weather. There is no miss that our place will be flooded every year, during rainy season. Unlike from where I live now, typhoon with heavy rains comes rarely so. I never lose a home but I left my home to this better place.

I hear so much about water getting into homes. Could it be that there is no proper drainage around.?

Their lot was a rental and the managers claimed that their pump was broken.

I hope we never lose our home to any disaster! That's cool if you have a golf course at home. You must be holding lots of barbecues and playing golf with friends.

I am so sorry to hear that, but glad you are OK. A friend in Florida was hurt in a hurricane. It took a year before she could walk right again.

No I haven't it must be one of the worse things loosing your home and everything you have. When watching the news you see sad stories all of the time, I am very lucky at least so far.

Do stay ?? lucky as I hope to as well. A car parked right next to mine was demolished in a tornado once, but mine did not get even a scratch.

@drannhh I was the only one home. I did not die, but, where I moved I had nightmares about it.
