I went on my bank site to check my balance and I found a debit that shouldn't have been there. Last month I bought a one month subscription to a writing site that looked like it might be interesting. I wanted a place to showcase my short stories and see what others think of them. The subscription wasn't much and I remember that I didn't see where they would take the amount out automatically at all. I only have Netflix payment taken out automatically each month and only because I have been with then since God was a boy and I trust them. So, anyway, it was taken out automatically. I had paid with my Paypal account so I called them. The nice man I spoke to said that sites do that now. They hide where it says they will do this(I think they don't put it in at all or have in a foreign language or legal jibberish no one could understand) and hope it slips by. Makes me so mad! He cancelled it, brought my money back(hadn't gone to them yet), and cancelled any requests from them in the future. So, no I won't be their paid member again. Have you had this happen? I have several times. Really makes me not want to subscribe to anything.

about the credibility and integrity in electric-store.
1. choose a faith and brand website or store.
2. before payment let the gay show some creatificated, if they really a owner, do not care provide.
3. trust your first feeling of the confusing thing, it always right

Your gut feeling should always be followed. So many double think themselves and end up not going with it.

I learned some time ago to always always check the fine print on new sites.........the hidden costs can be a shocker. Any site that says 'free' and then asks for a credit card is automatically deleted. You just can't trust anyone these days!

Same here. I read it. I saw nothing about taking auto payments out. I hate those supposed free ones. They anger me greatly. And theones that say just pay a S& H and you get a second one. Ya right!

I am always cautious too. Read their TOS and all. That why it made me so mad.

I am plucking up courage to call a number in the USA for assistance - basically identical to your problems.I get angry and then I get scared to fight them. But I have to do it.

I hope you decide to do it. They should NEVER be allowed to get away with this.

It happens a lot doesn't it. Unfortunately most will only accept direct debit and once they have your details you are trusting them to do the right thing. There are still some honest businesses out there.

Yes, and I sure appreciate that fact. I had just gotten my new Paypal debit card and was so glad to use it on this. WRONG!

No, but I check with such sites through chat or email first prior to signing up. At nearly 77 years of age, I didn't just fall off the flower cart as easy prey anymore!

Well, hon, I am 63 and I don't either. Or try to do my homework. I had asked several members and all were happy so I set forward. Ugh! What a mistake.
