I Hate Power Tools and Gardening Equipment in Neighborhoods

As I sit here typing, my neighbor. My neighbor across the street is using some loud whirring thing that's driving me nuts. I just finished with a chain saw and leaf blower. Of course, he's playing his radio loudly enough to make sure he can hear it over everything else. It's almost enough to make me want to move back to the other house on weekends.
The gardening pros wear headphones to keep the sound of their equipment from hurting their own ears, but anyone who walks by has their ears assaulted. Why can't people use quite brooms and rakes to clean up their messes these days? I can understand why power tools are necessary when one has acres to clean up, but most neighborhood yards are small. People use the power tools to save labor at home and then go work out at the gym.
What are your thoughts on noisy power tools in neighborhoods where houses are close together?

I do not know if you have been reading Archie Comics There Betty slogs at home and has a great figure whereas Veronica the spoilt brat spends here time in the Gym and yet just cannot get that figure.
If only people had concern for each other those blowers would not have existed.

@bagarad But she had to spend a lot of time at the Gym to get there. Is it not? You may be right there but I just wanted to drive the fact that household chores indeed contribute to health and that too at no cost.

@allknowing I definitely agree with that. That's how people used to stay in shape until we became a more sedentary society.

All that noise would get on my nerves! Plus I agree raking and shoveling, etc, can be good exercise and doesn't cost a membership fee!

There is a certain satisfaction in raking, I think. You can see how much you are getting done. There is time and peace to think. Forget about thinking if a leaf blower is on.

I understand how noisy it can be, thankfully i have about a 1/2 acre so it isn't too loud for me, plus i just turn up my music to drown it out.....but then i am a woman and only use hand tools!!
