Not spend more than three hours without eating because in doing so it has a tendency to consume larger portions of food. Always follow meals with vegetables that have good amounts of fiber that help decrease appetite. In snacks seek eat solid and hot foods that give more fullness to the net and cold food. Drink 1.5 to 2 liters of water a day while also moisturizing will help decrease appetite. Shopping after a meal because when doing belly full of shopping, it's easier to choose healthier foods.

My weight loss trick was always eating large portions of salads – a bed of spinach and lettuce with trimmings. Then the portions of other foods (meat, potatoes, etc.) would be smaller serving sizes. Absolutely no junk food! (Candy, chips, cookies, etc.)

Yes it is a bad idea to go too long without eating. Also the shopping, I agree, it is deadly mistake as you buy junk foods which are not conducive to losing weight. I try to eat small items every couple hours that are healthy. I try, but do not always succeed.

The bad part of this is that you have to eat more times per day , but I think in 3 or 4 days is automatic :) Don't give up!

These are always good ideas. I have too big an appetite usually. Smaller and more often meals will be better.

I tried eating in moderation but I don't seem to have a great control when it comes to food especially when depression hits me which is a common scene. Sigh! I don't think there is anything I can do about this.

Weight loss....huh ... a very difficult job indeed!!! I began weight loss program in May, followed it till June and lost 3 kgs. Then couldn't go for walk in July and regained 3 kgs again. It is so difficult to loose weight and so easy to gain it. Since I am determined to get back in shape, I have restarted morning walk. I will follow the simple tips you have posted. I need to cut down 10 kgs and this time I will make sure I do it.

Good practical tips ! I too fel that water is absolutely essential while trying to reduce weight, 2 liters or more is good , also having smaller meals because each time you burn 25% of the proteins during digestion , so the more number of times you eat the better for you. I feel that drinking a glass of water before meals helps you automatically cut down on your intake..

Thank you for the important information. And I from my personal experience agree that drinking lots of water can really help in losing weight. In fact drinking a glass of water just before a meal leads to us having less food and thus less calorie gain
