Are you a picky eater?

So I was watching this video the other day about facing your food fears. It got me to thinking about how many people are picky eaters. I, for one, am a very picky eater. There are certain foods that I like that other people think are disgusting and then there are things that I absolutely hate that other people think are delicious. Brussel Sprouts, Liver and Onions (and just onions for that matter), Chitterlings (I'm from the south but can't stand it), Okra, Potato Salad, and that's just to name a few. My husband hates that I am so picky because that limits the foods that he will be able to cook, but on the other hand he's picky as well. Also, although I hate onions; my mom continues to cook with them despite that and it annoys the living heck out of me.

I am a picky eater also. My girlfriend don't understand, but it's not for her to understand. She will eat anything. And I do mean anything. Not me. If it does not look good or smell good, I will stay away from it.

Smells especially, if something smells bad I immediately wanna gag. I have a very sensitive gag reflex.

@TheDemonicAngel I hear that. If something smells that horrible I want to toss my cookies also.

Well smell is a strong decider, I do agree to that.

I'm not a picky eater - in fact, I can eat like a garbage disposal - ha ha. Ok, not that bad, but I am pretty adventurous and will like most foods. Um, well not liver though (maybe I just haven't had a good liver dish, my mom only made it one particular way) - and I don't know what chitterlings are.

Chitterlings are pig intestines I wish I was adventurous, but my taste buds are way too sensitive.

@TheDemonicAngel To be fair, I don't think I've ever had chitterlings, so I can't say I don't like them - hee hee. Where do you even get such an ingredient? I grew up in the Los Angeles where I've been exposed to such diverse tastes - maybe that has something to do with being an adventurous eater too?

I am not really a very picky eater. I just don't like Fish at all because I grew up eating it so much and I just can not stand the smell either! I rarely eat Pork at all anymore as well! But I like everything else! Like Pizza, Vegetables all of them! I can eat most anything except for the two above. My husband is the picky eater here! He does not like Spaghetti or anything with noodles. I hate that! Because I love anything made with noodles ;[

I have my choices, I am a small eater too which is why going to a 5 star place and opting for a buffet meal is a waste as far as I am concerned. I just cannot do justice to the money we spend.

I am not a picky eater. The only thing I hate to eat is pumpkin. Unlike you, I really love onion, potato, liver.
