I came across a UK report a couple of days back that states taking selfies on phone is in fact a medical condition and it reflects our mental health! I am not sure about the authenticity of the report but personally feel funny taking selfies! How desperate would one be to click himself and how lonely, that he doesn't have anyone else more interested in clicking him. I have tried following the trend ...but ended up laughing at myself !

It is just a rumour (and a completely false one) that the "American Psychiatric Association has classified the taking of 'selfies' as a mental disorder." It was started by a spoof/joke site called Adobo Chronicles.
You can read all about it here:
No, the American Psychiatric Association has not classified the taking of 'selfies' as a mental disorder.

Cameras have this facility and this has been there since many years. I do not like selfies of groups clinging to each other.

@varnamaya In Russia, fatalities while taking selfies is becoming a concern for the authorities and they are urging people to be cautious while in the act. Recently, closer to home, a boy fell into a tiger enclosure in a zoo while hanging onto the railing to take a selfie! Wat a tragic loss of young life!
