Water

One of my biggest concerns in the summer is dehydration. I have written many articles about it. I know that women are supposed to drink one quart (32 ounces) for each 50 pounds of body weight. Did you know that water is needed by every organ in the body for complete functioning? I worked for a woman once who drank only Diet Coke and one summer she became gravely ill and nearly died from dehydration. People seem to think that if they drink juices, pops , or sweet tea that is enough. It isn't. None of those give you the water your body needs. What do you think?

I know I drink too much Pepsi and not enough water. Just this past week, I started drinking at the very least one liter of water each day. Sometimes, I have started on the second liter bottle of water. It seems that I do this every so often throughout the year but I should EVERY day. I know that when I drink lots of water every day for quite awhile, my skin doesn't look like crepe paper.

I agree with you and I drink lots of water. My night meds make me thirsty so I take a quart to bed nightly. I also drink 2 glasses upon waking and solves any digestive problems. I drink at least two more quarts throughout the day as it just makes me feel better.

If you drink a glass before eating you won't eat as much too.

@cynthiann -- I could give you lots of tricks to losing. Drinking water is great and cutting down on juices, sweet tea, and pop. Don't miss meals. Go through your average day in your head and think of ways to add more movement and exercise to it. Good luck!

Good for you! And the excuse I get from a lot of people is that it tastes bad. I like it myself. Doesn't have to have flavoring that is usually sugar based or has chemicals.

@celticeagle Exactly. Its like a medicine for the body. So, why to care of its taste. And I like the taste of water. What is bad in its taste, I don't understand. Cheers to us

Thanks for reiterating all of that. It is too good for us not to partake.
