A lot of you may not recognize me now. When I was here way back when, I was quite a lot heavier.
I had Weight loss Surgery December 17, 2014. I have lost 150lbs. so far! I am so much happier now. I am NO longer a 'diabetic' nor do I have 'High blood pressure', or High cholesterol. 5 year's ago I was sent home in a wheelchair & told "You will never walk again". **NEWSFLASH** I am now walking anywhere from 4-7 miles every single day! I have lost a whole person! And I am still losing. my goal is to lose another 80-90 lbs. I do NOT regret this surgery at all.. Do you all have any questions at all about this 'Life-Saving' surgery? I would be happy to discuss anything at all about this with you...I started out @ 376lbs. My surgeon just told me Friday that I am his star patient. No one else has lost as much as I have in such a short amount of time...

Thank you very much! That is a shame that she didnt follow what she was suppose to do.. This surgery is NOT easy! It is just a tool to be used in combination with eating right, & exercising.. These last 2 days, I have put on 5 lbs! Because it is so freaking hot herre (in the 100's) I am drinking water like therre is no tomorrow..lol.. But it will come off starting tomorrow when i start the lasix again..lol

My roomie had this 5 years ago. She's lost 150 lbs too, but she still needs to lose more. I'd love to have the surgery, but my insurance won't cover it... However, even at 220 I don't have high blood pressure or diabetes, and my cholesterol is only borderline... I don't like fried foods that much, and I have always hated greasy foods... I just like pasta - a LOT...

@positivelypink she still eats carbs, but can't eat as many as she used to, for some strange reason... LOL

@ElicBxn well for one her stomach is way smaller than it was in the beginning.. BUT if she is eating carbs, then she won't lose weight...very sad to do this after all that hard work!

HI ElicBxn! Nice to see you back here again!! Wow that is great.. It all depends on how much you started at , as to how fast you can lose the weight..Your lucky that you don't have any health issues! Pasta is a BIG no-no for us.. NO carbs at all...lol

The surgery is an amazing 'tool' to help you lose weight & keep it off! You should look into it, you can always back out if it is not for you! Good Luck!

There really is NO secret! I had the surgery to make my tummy where it will ONLY hold 4 oz. of food at a time..Anymore than that & I will get very sick.. (called 'dumping') Very painful.. BUT as long as you will follow exactly what your Dr. tells you to do, you will be a success just as I am! It is NOT an easy fix. This is serious business. You must follow the guidelines after the surgery in order to do well.. I eat apprx. 100-120 grams of protein a day. Drink water all day long, & walk as much as possible. Usually 4-7 miles daily.
