There is a ban on Maggi noddles in India and I am missing it. Have not been able to enjoy noodles after that. Have not been able to adjust to the taste of other noodles. Anyone else missing Maggi like me? I wonder.

@mayka123 but maggie have most shortlisted for having poison like that in comparison of street chinese food, well as by my experience street chinese food feels so yummy and chilled without having poison or something.

I didn't realize you had maggi noodles there because we have the same kind of brand here. anyways, don't use much of those since it's hard to have them digest.

@SIMPLYD Yes, the ones from Nissin - branded as top Ramen - they too have been pulled off the market owing to similar reasons. I was almost in love with them.

There are many Maggi noodle recipes available online that you may enjoy. I'm not familiar with the brand, but it must be delicious. We have some noodles called Maruchan and Nissin.

@thesids It may be unhealthy if it is had too often. Just once or twice a month may not be harmful. I do not have CHinese food out because they put a lot of MSG into their food which is very harmful.

I am pretty much sure that the ones they picked up from the markets will be repackaged and available sometime soon. They wont be throwing away those tonnes of materials for sure. @mayka123 - Btw, I got 5 pack of 6 pack ones for free as the shopkeeper didnt want to risk and expect that the suppliers would come and pick them up. So you may try your luck too... but if possible please avoid that as it is unhealthy due to the lead content.

It was banned because of the preservatives put in it. But its now back in the market with lesser preservatives.

It was banned here because the tastemakers had more than the prescribed limits of Lead.

Do you have Knorr noodles in India? My children love them though I always try to prepare home-made pasta and noodles with fresh vegetables, chicken and herbs rather than these 2 minute stuff.

@mayka123 - There are many like you who are eagerly waiting for its return, specially those who became used to it. Let us hope for the best. I read a tweet from an engineering college student - "Government has banned maggi and now proposing to ban p*rn sites, how do they expect us to study and clear our exams"

Maggi seems to be everyones favourite. And it is so easy to make. We can add a lot of variations to it.
