Do you listen to music while browsing ?...

I like to listen to music while using the net, although at times I get too absorbed in what I am doing ...But on the whole I like to have either music on or the TV on and I feel I am multi tasking

I also like to listen music while working, I feel that it help in concentrating. During my student life I like to listen music on my pocket transitor, but at present it is not possible for me. I am missing music and old hindi songs.

Anil old hindi songs are in plenty on the net and you can download them ...Is it still difficult for you to hear ? However, if and when you want plz dont hesitate to ask, I can send some old songs through email which you can download on to your comp...

I do enjoy listening to music while I am on the net but find I am distracted and don't get as much done as i would like to.

@ marcyaz ..Yes that happens with me as well, but not while posting on discussion sites..it can be distracting when you want to write articles and you need to concentrate ..

Yes, I do that too. I will open my Youtube account with a list of songs, and then I will just play the list of songs. I think it makes surfing net more enjoyable.

Yes true, once you get used to listening to music while browsing you cant do without it..It is funny at times when myself and my three children are alll browsing and have the head phones on...It can be annoying to those who visit you , keep on ringing the door bell..lol

I do this sometimes but not all the time. As much as I love music if I am trying to concentrate or do some work I end up having to turn it off and listen to it when I am doing something that isn't taking up to much of my brain I guess.

Yes marie, that makes sense, I too like to concentrate while I am say, writing an article .But while on forums I normally have the music on..

In my house the TV is on right from the morning when we get up, till we go to sleep. But the programmes are different as per the time of the day. Mornings we keep spiritual songs and chants, then at 9.00 AM film songs will come. Then light music, carnatic music and instrumental music will be coming. Evening again spiritual and then we will switch on to movies or talks on various subjects. But always a mild music at the background is soothing to the mind.

I agree, music in any form is soothing...I remember when I was in school we would wake up to the chants of Venkateshwara Suprabata by Subbalakshmi and I feel nostalgic when I hear that now, brings back all the childhood memories..
