I do online shopping using eBay and directly transfer money from my bank through paypal. You are right. We cannot keep money earned in our paypal account. It gets automatically transferred to our bank.

I think we are allowed to add money but that money cannot be kept with paypal. They have to transfer it immediately.

I think there is nothing wrong in it. The money you earn through paypal automatically get transferred to your bank account. You could spend the money through your bank account. May be the disadvantage is - you cannot buy or pay in Dollars through paypal because money does not remain there.

I thought that was to prevent money being sent out of India?

I have not received any payment from paypal for more than 2 years now because most sites now pay directly into your bank account, so I am not sure about the situation in paypal ...However, it is worth looking into and be sure of our facts especially since we get paid through paypal here,,

I do a lot of online shopping through eBay. We cannot keep money in payPal. It is kind of a transfer point so to say. Money gets there to be t transferred to sellers. Money comes there and gets transferred to our bank account.

Its a good move I think as govt can keep track of money flow as black money big problem in India.Paypal is attached to your valid bank account and amount gets transferred as soon as it enters paypal.
