Still Finding My Way Around Here

I'm still pretty new around here and I just lost my first post. I had just finished it, checked for errors and was looking at what tags I had used previously and hit the wrong button I guess. Poof, it was gone. Luckily I was talking about my new pedometer as opposed to the FitBit what I was considering. I decided on giving the pedometer a try first and so far so good... except for the tiny screen that I couldn't read to set it up. That was incredibly confusing. In the mean time, I will save up for my FitBit, just in case I decide on it later. Anyone out there using one? I'm really curious about the ease of using one. How would you compare it to a pedometer??

welcome .. I am considered to be a newbie again here, after been gone for quite some time. but yes we will get along with this anyway. ahahah I thought for a moment you were talking about a member named Fitbit. LOL. my bad. you were talking about a gadget then. good luck... may it serve its purpose. I usually buy a lot of equipment from Home TV but they became rusty over time.. meaning, I haven't used them. tsk tsk ...

No worries, you will get used to new mylot soon. Welcome to mylot. I have heard about these kind of applications and many use it. My brother is found of such applications and he uses it regularly. I have not installed such applications on my mobile handset. He told me that there is an application, which keeps count of water you have consumed during a day and it tells you whether you have taken sufficient water or your count is low.

I love love love my fitbit. I love that it is smaller and more compact that my pedometers ever were. I love that I can track my steps online and see my progress. I love that I can have online challenges with my friends and family. And I really love that I can get points added to my Walgreen account just by doing what I normally do anyway. I think really what I love is the internet connectivity of it so if you could find a pedometer that offers things like that it might be the same thing. But really, I love love love my fitbit.

I really hate the idea of a FitBit, I hate the idea of anyone or anything tracking me. My son downloaded a step-counting app to his phone aneed was using that. Welcome to myLot. :)
