Dreary weather removes all my motivation....

I awoke today to rain and cold.....it has sapped all motivation to tackle my to-do list of laundry, vacuuming and dishes. Instead i just want to crawl back under my blankets and do nothing but daydream and doze...... granted if it were a gorgeous sunny day out, i would probably want to be outdoors, going for a hike or swimming or just enjoying the sun.... maybe i am just looking for an excuse not to do the household chores...(though a couple loads of laundry and the dishes are a must.....and i still have all afternoon to muster up the gumption to do them...) Does the weather outside affect your energy level as well? if the sun is shining bright do you feel energized and ready to tackle the world? If it is rainy and cold and dreary do you get "eyore" (the donkey from Winnie the Pooh.... "Oh Bother......") syndrome?

Yes, dreary weather can do that to you, but I have this to-do list on the back of my bathroom door with a list of all the things I HAVE TO DO before I can do any of the fun things on my list. ;)

@Hate2Iron Do you really mean it that you hate to iron?

I am kind of the opposite. I want to relax when it's sunny, and find it easier to do tasks when it is cool.

It does affect me too, but then since I am older, I don't have a lot of energy anyway. I can walk, but I do get tired out easily. Right now, we have lots of sunshine, but we do need rain. We did get some yesterday, but not a lot and not enough to do much good. I will say, though, I do have enough energy to come in here though.

The weather does affect my mood and energy levels. I am the opposite of you though, I get more done in the cloudy/rainy weather than when it's sunny outside. I enjoy the cloudy days more, I'm strange I know. Lol
