Your Own 'Brand'

I have noticed more and more lately how so many 'celebrities' are coming out with their own brand of things. From their own clothing line, to perfume/cologne, cookware, and so many other things.
It makes me wonder if I had the funds to do my own brand of something, what would I do. I mean any would be pretty neat to have my name attached to it. However, I think for me, my own perfume would be amazing.
Have you ever thought about owning your own brand? What would you want your name attached to?

Ohhh thats a tough one. I think I would do a like of kitchen helpers that don't require energy. I would do egg beaters that had the crank on them but make them simpler to use than the one my grandma has. I would do kitchen organizers as well since my kitchen is a disaster. If I have to spend the time organizing my kitchen then someone else might as well benefit from all the thought this is going to take.
Perfume would be fun but I cant imagine what I would like the world to smell like. Fruity I guess.
This was a fun topic. I cant wait to read what the others might say.

Well darn, I didn't even think of kitchen gadgets. I have to say I like the way you think. My cabinets seem to be a mess all the time, not sure if anything could help it. But hey if you come up with something, make sure to pass it own.
LOL I like your comment on the perfume. I said perfume myself, cause the one fragrance I found and fell in love with, which was a Bath & Body Works exclusive has been discontinued. I have yet to find anything close to it.
Why thank you. I am glad that you liked it.

@TexanTornado I had this lotion I loved discontinued. I just couldn't imagine why everyone else didn't love it. It was so frustrating. I cant even remember what it smelled like but since then I have found I love anything coco-nutty so I know to stock up in summer. They almost always have one coconut scent out so I'm safe.

@happythoughts Yes, it does tend to become frustrating, I seem to be a picky person when it comes to smells. Well, other things too. LOL Yes, coconut would be easy to find in the summer. Basically all you would have to do is get sun block/ or lotion.

@TexanTornado I make my own cosmetics and last year blended my own perfume.. The funny thing was my friends loved hem so much.. but I find it too expensive to do small quantities. I did think at that time I should start my own range of cosmetics.. Natural of course.

Are you serious?? Professionally done or homemade? You have to tell me more. Oh and you can send my samples with that fruit (what was it again? smacks my forehead) the one that helps with wrinkles.

@TexanTornado LOL Yes, I make them myself at home. Nope you cannot make with fresh fruits, unless of course you make them with fruit extracts which is hard to get and are very expensive. They don't keep long either. I am more into using essential oils for my cosmetics. Loads of aloe vera and essential oils. Its pretty easy to make them .. but each batch turns to be much bigger than you can consume. so you end up gifting stuff.

@sofssu No, I meant you can send me some samples of your stuff, along with that fruit you posted had about on the other site. Sounds awesome, I might have to experiment. I used to make my own candles. So I have fragrances out the whazoo..

I would want some kind of crafting line, or products. I would call them Heather's Hobbies. I have used that name on things before. It has some family significance
I always wonder, with cookware and stuff if the celebrities really use it..

Oh that is cool. It seems like you already have one foot in the door, with the name already picked out. I'm not good with picking names, so that would be a challenge in itself for me.
That is a good question, and no real way of knowing.

Oh really? I never knew that, I guess I view writing (online) differently. Oh I love the smell of lavender. It always helps in relieving headaches. hmmm now that you mention it, I might have to get a lot of it. For thinkin' gives me a headache.

I do not go for brands because I am a very economical person. I buy practical things but making sure that I do not compromise the quality

Yes, I totally agree with your logic. However, I didn't mean 'name brand', I meant personally designing something and your name attached to it.
