Nova's Mystery of Easter Island

I just watched this program on one of my local PBS stations. It was awesome! Here's a link about the program.
A team of engineers, after a few fails, got their replica Easter Island statue to 'walk' down the roadway. Shoot! I forgot how far they got it to go already! Something like four meters in forty minutes?
The thing most amazing to me was if they are right about how the Islanders moved the statues, it formed a link between them, between the team and the ancient Islanders. And because I believe (one day) all peoples will be acquainted with all other peoples, to me, that's a very real link (to be recognized by all involved one day).
It was a very interesting show to watch! They had a theory and worked to see if it was workable. (The process kind of reminded me of how I used to move sofa's in my day, even through doorways and completely by myself. )

I think I have seen that documentary. Recently I think I saw on Facebook that there are actually bodies under the heads. Perhaps it is a hoax
