After months of waiting, my husband will be back this September. My husband current works as a fitter machinist in a cruise ship in Europe. He went there last December 2014. his contract will end this September and he will finally be back home together with me and the kids.
He only has a two month vacation and will be back working on a different ship but the same cruise company by November. I am currently adding a few workloads to may day to be able to spend the whole two months with him without having to attend or worry about work.
My kids are excited as well. My eldest still remembers him because he was already 2-years-old when he left. My youngest who just turned one last May will probably have to adjust now that his Daddy is around.
I am just so happy that well get to be together again. Sad that he'll be leaving soon and will be spending his birthday, Christmas, New Year, my birthday and the kids' birthday away from us. But parents do need to make sacrifices for a better future for their family, most especially for the kids so families really have to endure the separation.
I am currently practicing cooking his favorite dishes, cleaning up the house and planning on how well make the most out of his vacation.
How about you guys, do you have a love one working overseas?

that's great to hear your family get together , but a little sad to hear you guys have so limited time .
In China, this is the common thing. but they are lot children meet their parents 3-4 weeks a year, dependance all the time.
aii, people need work for their family that's the rule .

Yes, we all need to work for the future. Wishing life was more simple, but with tuition hiking up as well as commodities, working hard and saving for the future is really necessary.

Wow, this must be so hard for you both. What a sacrifice you both are doing for your children, you sound like wonderful parents. Enjoy your time together when he arrives and make sure you take lots of photos and videos to see later on.
