Did You Accomplish All You'd Hoped Today?

I didn't. I wanted to get two or three blog posts done and I got none of them done. I made one Personal Paper post and spent a lot of time on myLot and clerical work. I also spent time thinking and taking notes about the post I want to write on my book review blog. I got off to a late start because I stayed up until 3 AM to finish the legal thriller I was reading last night. Then my husband and I got talking after breakfast, something we rarely do much of these days except for small talk about daily stuff. I didn't want to cut it off since he's more important than a book review. So here I am at 9 PM with not one blog post written. I have to get the daily photo post done tonight because it's daily. I still don't know what I'll write about for that. I'd better get started. I hope you got farther down your list than I did on mine.

I believe I plan too much making it difficult to get everything done So I learned a way out. I note down all the tasks I should to the next day before I get to bed. That makes things somewhat easier and helps me get at least 95% of things done.

I do that as well otherwise I end up doing very little or none at all..Making a list is really essential at least to me ...

No, I did not, I was supposed to do some grocery shopping but it began to rain heavily so I dropped the idea and decided to make do with what is there at home and now after lunch I am here and am not sure whether I will be able to drag myself away from my PC to go do all that I am supposed to do...

The rains, power-cuts, interrupted internet, disconnections are way too much to add to my worries here - many a days, the plans cannot be accomplished just due to these.

@kiran8 Rain does make one less motivated to go out and shop.

@thesids We can't choose not to have those things happen. They do disrupt our ability to accomplish what we'd hoped.

Technically I can say yes in response to your question although I haven't done anything much today. This is because I didn't really have any plans for today. The only one was to go to the market which closes at 1pm to get some tomatoes, plums, potatoes and broccoli. I did that so I did accomplish everything I had planned for today. I've been having really lazy days lately since I go back to school in a week and don't really know what to do until then. I'm just enjoying the last few days I have until S7 starts (last year of high school) I'm really dreading it since I have to work alot harder this year, decide what I want to do and apply for universities. I much prefer my bed and the TV to that lol.

@bagarad Yup. There's only a week left so not that long at all. Yeah I love to settle down and read for a few hours while listening to music. Lots of the time I get too caught up in my phone or watching something on netflix and I never do. I get most of my reading done on long car trips where there isn't really anything else to do. I go through phases with reading. Some nights I'll read for a few hours and finish a book in a few days but other times I don't read for weeks or months at a time.

@bagarad What do you like to read? What genres? And who are your favourite authors?

You may as well enjoy your break. You can't run full speed all the time. I've been dong more reading to relax than I used to.

I never seem to get everything done that I want to. Or that I need to. I am behind in writing blog posts, doing surveys, doing something with my blueberries, zucchini, and cucumbers. And I need to do laundry. And weed the garden. Too much stuff and not enough time.

Except for the produce to process, we're pretty much in the same boat. Instead of produce, I have books to get rid of.

Yesterday (sorry I'm reading this a day late) was a productive day here for me. My husband and I got our groceries together in the morning and after putting them away we went for a drive to the area that we'd like to move to. We looked at a home, we did not like it, but it was fun to be out together. When we were driving home we spotted a nic home, I took down the real estate company so that I could do a search when I got home. I did a search but wasn't able to find that particular home, but stumbled upon a better one. My husband liked it also, so we'll contact our agent to see if we can view it. Today we have a viewing of our home.

I took it easy today. Got some housework done and worked online a bit. Played with the kids some. I am potty training the twins so that has been taking up quite a bit of my time.

Since it isn't even noon here yet, not really, as I have been in here most of the time. I am accomplishing interacting in here though, but later on, I will do some things around the house, as I do take breaks in here from time to time.

I didn't really get started on my list at all today. I was supposed to get on the road early and go complete a batch of store audits today. Instead, I woke up sort of late and took my sweet time getting going for the day. It turned into going out to lunch with my husband, then coming home to tackle some of the housework I had to neglect earlier in the week. We walked up to the bus stop to meet my daughter after school, and then I went to Target to buy some more plastic storage containers for the loose junk in my closet. It still needs to be sorted, but at least it's contained now. It was a pretty good day even though it didn't go as planned.

Some days are just like that. We don't do what was planned but can still be happy with what we did get done - planned or not.

I actually was quite productive today. Not to mention making my little chocolate treats and attending a party. I would say it was a good, day.

I keep a list of "must do" items on my bathroom door and they are accomplished first. That way, what I really need to accomplish... gets accomplished. So far that involves just keeping the house ready to go if we get a call from someone who wants to look!

I also keep a list of the must-do's like paying bills on time and posting to social media that can't be automated. Everything else I play by ear.

Nope, not really. I had friends drop in to visit me unexpected and I had just a few things ticked off my to do list. I hope to complete them today. Hoping against hope.

Unexpected guests are worth interrupting your schedule for, unless they are unwelcome guest you didn't really want to see.
