Anxiety is a fickle foe It breaks you down Slowly, Slowly, Until you can't Take it anymore It consumes your every thought Every feeling Every cell In your body You just can't Break free It drowns you Slowly, Slowly Until you fall into the blackness Until you can barely breathe It consumes you Like a fire As the flames Consumes you Slowly, Slowly, Until you feel and think and breathe And live No more Anxiety is a fickle foe It breaks you down Slowly, Slowly, Until you can't Take it anymore

Your poem describes anxiety perfectly. After the twins were born I was so over-whelmed. It stayed that way for a long time. Now that they are 3 things are much better on me. If you are experiencing anxiety hugs to you.

Anxiety is a very difficult thing to live with and it can be all-consuming, making life feel impossible for those who suffer from it. You captured that very well.
