I agree with these comments. I'd rather take a little time and learn something and help someone else learn something than type a one-word answer to hundreds of different questions. I'd rather go for quality not quantity, and I think it doesn't necessarily hurt your earnings to do so.
Yes, you can score a lot of points with short answers, but it seems your earnings are based on "quality" answers (as MyLot admins keep saying) and a better answer has a greater chance of betting a plus rating, which means more $.

To be honest, I think a lot of people here could give a rats behind what kinds of conversations are going on here. They just care about the fact that they are making money. Which to me, is sad. I like some of the "good" conversations here and I've learned a lot from this site as well.

They seem to get buried under the other discussions too quickly. Sometimes people don't want to respond to topics that are going to require them to type lengthy answers - slows down their earnings too much.

it depends on the view you have on a particular topic. sometimes it happens that the topic you like the most is the topic which is least liked by others.

I suffer from an incurable disease......diahrrea of the fingers. Most of my comments on posting and comments on other comments are long and drawn out. I sometimes fail to think that I might be boring people. If so, I apologize from the bottom of my flat feet.

I think people just don't want to "waste" their time with long responses when they could be making a lot of posts and earning money.
The way I see it, we're not earning enough money here for me to think of it as a "job". I don't want to waste my time responding to a bunch of stupid posts in hopes of earning a few pennies per hour. I'd rather participate in intelligent discussions and debate important topics.
So far, I think this site is proving that you can't buy members that will have the intelligent conversations found on some message boards. While I've found a few great discussions, it seems that the majority of members just do not spend their time thinking about anything important.

i totally agree with you. most of the topics in DISCUSSIONS WITH NO RESPONSE are really thought evoking and cud have been really informative. but they are without any answers, im really sorry. most of us here are for good quick money and go for random answering, instead of pickin the qualitative ones.
we shud concentrate on QUALITY and not on QUANTITY and mylot team shud make sure quality content gets cudos.
thanx

Good point! I'm always trying to start discussions that will make people think. It seems to be very hard to get people to actually post on them.
Some people are just so bad that they shouldn't even be paid for their unintelligible postings in my opinion. It would make the site better to "fire" such people.

That's a fantastic question! I really appreciate it. you literally took the idea right out of my mind! I too have felt the same. I post contemporary and raving issues, yet I have had only 1,2...10 responses! you may please visit my 'discussions posted' page and see them.
Nice to find that someone feels like I do!

Sadly a lot of people only want to respond with a no or yes answer and there are plenty of discussions which start off, Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt, or do you like icecream. Sadly this is very true and discussions which ask you to THINK and give a lengthy response as to why this is so, or to get involved in a particular argument or a particular view puts a lot of people off. Trouble is a lot of people don't realise that yes and no response do NOT earn money here. Yes and discussions do quickly get buried.
I have seen a lot of really good meaty discussions which deserve to be responded to get only one or two responses yet something like Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt will get 100+ responses...

I find that a lot of the time when I post a new topic, it gets buried very quickly. I imagine this happens to a lot of people's topics.

I know what you mean. I have to refresh the front page many times sometimes before I find something worth responding to. Very rarely do I resond to the simple ones like, favorite color, what time is it, male female. I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way.

Not quite sure, but I guess it´s about time. People try to pst more into the topics "this or that" saying "yes or no", rather than making quality posts and some more larger replies.
Also, people don´t rate or tend not to rate other´s responds. I do, as that´s my way to say thanks to the ones that read me and post in my discussions.
I also try to search for some interesting discussions and try to reply to them as well.

because 'good' is very relative. what's good for you, not necessarily good for others.
