Do you remember......

Every year practically since I joined the Lot, I wrote a discussion about selling my house and the two properties we own across the street. Sad to say, the sale(s) never happened. I was beginning to think the Lot had jinxed me.....
WELL! Maybe not! I'm back on the Lot for about a week, and today I got a phone call out of the blue regarding my lots (not my house). The couple will be here in an hour to view them and I am just eaten up with anxiety. I really, really need these lots to sell right now. Things have been tough for us since world oil prices went down in February and as my hubs works in the oil industry, we got hit hard. So a sale would go a loooooooong way to solving some problems.
Any tips on how to close the sale? They are looking for two serviced empty lots side by each (which is exactly what we have) to park their RV on and then when they retire, build a house.
HELP!

I am wishing you luck and hoping that this is just the right connection at the right time. I have never met the people whose house we are buying, but they were needing out and were willing to take a low price. I would say to know just what you must have out of the sale and be willing to take it if offered. Having open land across from the one we are purchasing and four adjoining lots kind of sold us. I hope it is the right time and place for you.

I hope you are still living in the house you're talking about here. It sounds like you have plenty of room to have picnics if you want and the kitties have plenty of room to roam.

If I send them to you, you have to feed them YOUR brownies and close the deal!

I sold 2 plots of land to build houses last year. The period is not good to sell lands for buildings here as people are not investing a lot in a period of weak economy. I offered these lands at 10% under the average market value, and I needed about a year to find buyers. I wish you to sell your lots to this couple.

Thanks. The market isn't good here either, so this viewing could be my last chance this year........

@sparkofinsanity It is a good thing that you already managed to sell it. I believe I would not have sold mines yes if I had asked too much money.

@rebelann I'm seeing it now! lol The lots didn't sell and we are still here. Just painted our house again and are using the lots to grow the biggest veggie garden I've ever seen! With prices going up the way they are now, we need to economize, so actually not selling resulted in a win win.

I sold a house a year ago even though the economy was not that good all I can say is make sure the lots are mowed and if fenced make sure the fencing is secure also you may not receive the amount you want for the lots but just remember if they are reasonable take the offer as you may not have another chance. Good Luck....

Be positive and inviting. Show them how nice the areas people can be. Can they park an RV in your area? Hope it all works out.

I hope that they buy the land. No suggestions from me at all. Many blessings for a successful closure!
