The best cat ever

That was my first cat (as an adult),my Jinx. The ex and I had bought our first house, and my friends at work called him and asked it if was OK to get me a kitten. He said yes, and they went to the shelter. Apparently it was a crazy ride, as one of the three is deathly afraid of cats and dogs, and was totally freaking out all the way to my house. He was super sweet. He would sleep under the covers right next to me. I called him my cuddle kitty. I have a lot of funny pictures of him with his face in a box, in a shoe, with him in the sink, etc. He was an indoor/outdoor cat, and he knew the sound of my car, and when I came home from work, he would come running (usually he was up on the roof) to greet me. One time he rubbed his head on the gutter, fell off, landed on his feet, and gave me that "I meant to do that" look. When he was about 6 months old, we got another kitten, Fluff, from one of my mom's friends. He lived in coyote country, and she was the only kitten who survived. She was not quite as lovable as Jinx, but she used to love to attack the ex's toes. In fact he let his feet hang out on purpose. I had just gotten another kitten, Pounce, an orange female, who showed up on my doorstep. She used to climb all over me to get to a piece of bread I was eating. That cat loved bread. She was less than a year old when Jinx got sick. He was just laying around, not himself, so I took him to the vet. Disaster, it was feline leukemia. My cats had all been vaccinated, but he must have gotten it before, or the vaccine didn't work. It wasn't routine back then to test for that. We had him in remission for a year, but after that he went downhill rapidly. He was only 5 years old. Fluff lived to be 16, and if some idiots hadn't let their German Shepherds out and she hadn't gotten out of the house (she sneaked past the in-laws at a birthday party), I think she might have lived to 20. Pounce wasn't as lucky, she got cancer under her tongue when she was 10.

I hate it what that happens, when our pets leave us.

Aw, poor kitties. It's a shame that their lives were cut short like that.

Sorry to hear about Jinx, ant the other two as well. We all only have a limited time on Earth. And that includes our pets, and wild animals too. I feel for you, because I know I would feel the same way if anything happened to my two babies. I have exploited mine though. I use them to make videos. I figure I pay the bills and supply the food, so I'm entitled. I have a number of videos of both of my cats. Howler is 2 1/2 years old and Chloe is just six months. Chloe, just yesterday came home from the vet after being fixed. I had them both fixed at 6 months. Chloe is of course the smaller grey one Howler the white and black. Yes he is a big cat. He weighed almost 18 pounds in April. Here is a link to one of my videos that show them both.
Chloe and Howler have their moments of aggression towards each other, but at other times they are so lovable, and really enjoy being close. Of course, Howler...
