Summer Homework

While I have been enjoying my summer, there has been a dark cloud hanging over my head for these last couple months... Of course, by this 'dark cloud' I am referring to my summer homework. I've signed up for all advanced classes for my next school year, and a part of being 'advanced' is doing homework during my vacation time apparently! Thankfully, I've only received homework for one out of six classes this year, but I know that as I get higher up in school, the amount of summer homework will only increase. Last year, I had to read Great Expectations and complete a sort of study guide for it, but this year I've been assigned two books and a lot more work!
The two books this year are The Scarlet Letter and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Thank God I have already completed The Scarlet Letter, along with the study guide and essay that went along with it... The book was one that I probably never would have finished if I didn't know I was being graded on it. (Sorry Nathaniel Hawthorne). Huckleberry Finn, on the other hand, is very interesting!
The only probably I have with Huckleberry Finn is that there are only a few more short weeks before school starts and I am only half way finished with the rather thick book. I have been completing the study guide and other assignment for the book as I read, but I'm worried I won't finish on time. All this work is due on the first day of school, so I might just have to stay up all night to finish it!

I Loved both books and saw them also in movies..so it's nice to see how they take a book and mess things up..not much in these two though..
Just think you will be almost done with your homework so you can have some Me time!!

I didn't know they made the Scarlet Letter into a movie... I have seen Huckleberry Finn a couple times though- which kind of ruins the book for me! Still, I am enjoying it. Cannot wait to be finished :)

@Rosekitty I'll have to look it up- I've never heard of it before. Was it good? Personally, I did not enjoy the book..

I have about three weeks before school starts so really, that should be plenty of time to finish the book. But my schedule is very packed with last minute things to do with my family and friends before summer ends, so it's hard to find time to read and do all the work. But thank you for your suggestion- I think I will set a reading goal for myself each day to make sure I finish on time.
