Fireworks tonight
In Plymouth UK this evening there were fireworks, it’s the national firework championships. The championships have been held in Plymouth for 20 years. Two nights of fireworks by 6 companies.
Three companies per night show of their fireworks to the general public. They were amazing, I was so help to be here to see them.
I’ve enclosed a photo of one of many I took.
Looking forward to doing it all again tomorrow evening.
I was in the States for 4th July and fireworks which were good.

Fireworks even without competition are worth watching and what more when there is competition. There must be a video somewhere Can you post it if you have one?

@kevin1877uk I think I must. It reminds me of a video I have downloaded of 'diwali bombing' The noise that it makes can shatter the whole neighbourhood. I downloaded it just to chase a monkey that has been visiting us. For a few days it would disappear. Strangely though I have begun to like this monkey and I no longer play that video

We lived not far from Central Park, so we used to go there to see them. There have been some fantastic displays over the years. One of the few things I miss about living in Plymouth. Lovely pics.

@kevin1877uk We were on Beacon Park Road. I suspect your inlaws lived on Meredith, Onslow or Belair Road, or Beauchamp Crescent if they were that close to the park. Or of course, they could have been the Weston Park Road side.

I like firework displays, we have some really good ones here in Spain. The Spanish love their fireworks and they lay on some great shows. One of the best displays is the Moors and Christians fiesta that takes place down on the beach at about 1 am.

Nice I love fireworks and didn't get to see too many this year for the 4th. Hopefully next year will be better planned.

Very nice photo. I used to love fireworks when I was a kid. As I grow older, I am beginning to lose the appeal for them. Maybe cause I have seen it all before, and it's just noisy now.

Wow, I have always like to watch the fireworks as they are amazing. Three companies per night must made a really wonderful and different display of beauty up in the sky, I would love to see that. How lucky you are to be able to go a couple of nights and see the different displays.
