Has your dream ever come true?

I have always had a dreamed of a home by a lake with trees and birds all around. This could have remained just a dream because I live in a crowded city.
It just happened that the corporate my husband works for planned a nice housing society and offered pieces of land for a decent price. We registered for it after debating so much that we were almost the last ones to do so.
The allocation was by a lucky draw. Our piece of land was alloted and paid for but we never went to see it for almost a year. Our excuse was they were still developing the area. One weekend I asked to visit the land and to my surprise our land was right across the lake facing a beautiful mango orchard, full of birds.
There were tears in my eyes on seeing my dream come true. Have you ever had such things happen to you?

Oh how wonderful. I'm so glad that you were able to get your dream. I think for the most part, I have gotten everything I wanted. Right now we are working on the dream of our retirement years. So I will have to let you know here in about 8-10 years.

@TexanTornado It was just a dream.. something I used to write about.. I guess I never ever expected it to come true though. Not only did it come true but to my very detailed specification. That is where we plan to build our retirement home and I so look forward to it. Hope your dream will come true too.

lol One day, I had dreamt that I had strands of gray throughout my hair. When I woke up, sure enough there was gray in my hair!

That is wonderful and very lovely.. Years ago when we were looking for a house, and had not much money.. I prayed and I told family and friends how the best place I ever lived was for a while as a child we lived in the country with apple, pear and plum trees.. rhubarb and berries growing down back in the field..
The house we happened across, by hubby calling realtor offices and we got called back with a hud home in the country, which i'd never heard of before, being a hud home it was a very good price! But not run down.. humble, yes. And it had a couple of apple and pear trees, plum trees.. rhubarb, and we planted the berries (and asparagus) the first year..

@flowerchilde Wow! The power of prayer. Your home must be one of the most beautiful ones, with all those trees and bushes and asparagus.. It must be heaven when the trees are in bloom or laden with fruit.
