Its better to talk than to scream

In the past myself and my oldest son could never have a decent conversation, I would always be so angry and start out screaming and accusing, this morning something was on my mind to go over with him, I waited for him to come out of the room, I calmly as I could told him what was bothering me, I think and hope it resolved it.

I have a tense relationship with my daughter at times, but it's getting better now that she's beyond teen years.

i know what you mean they are pretty kind of know it alls when they are in their teens or at least my daughter was and still is and she is almost 20

Being calm and having your head on your shoulders can resolve many a problem. People listen to you when you speak, they tend to cut you off when you scream. Glad you made the right decision.

it certainly was not easy to do , I am used to screaming first but I am glad I thought about it first

@granny2015 Screaming always turn a issue in to more worse or complicated even the matter might be nothing serious. It is always better to talk cool even the matter may be serious .

A woman screamed at her kids so loud here the other day it made me jump a lot. I had never heard such a voice and i have heard some. Sometimes even talking does not work right away it might take a few hours or days for the other to see the light.

yeah,parents do a clamn and soft conversation is better than a jugement. suggestion and support is best . maybe your son think his old enogh to hear from you , so talk to him as an ault.
