Who is the 'other person' here on mylot?

Hello everyone!
Few days ago one of the users (I am sorry I am forgetting the name of the user) raised a doubt about ‘like’ option. He pointed out that many a times a caption appears ‘you, dpk262006, mavic123456 and one 1 other person liked it’. His doubt was – ‘who comes in the category of ‘other person’. I remember that I responded that of course it cannot be an outsider but it would be a mylot user. While checking responses to my own discussions I clicked the ‘1 other person’ caption. Thereafter, a separate window surfaced and a list appeared on the window, showing the names of all the users who ‘liked’ the comment. I found that if I have not been ‘following’ a user and he has ‘liked’ my post, his name appeared under the caption ‘other person’ and I had an option to ‘follow’ him from that point onward. I clicked the ‘follow’ icon for the user, whom I had not been following so far. What I gather from the entire exercise is that if I have been ‘following’ any user and he likes my post/comment, user’s name appears on the post, else he is shown under the category of ‘other person’. May be some of you already know about it, yet I thought it that I should start a discussion on this issue so that newbies and others who are unaware could know about ‘other person’.

I just figured that there is only little room to list everyone who has liked the post - so less than a handful show up and all the rest are "other people". I don't know if there is any particular order though - though I am the first on the list wherever I "like" (just because - I think that it is that way for everyone). And of course "You" means "Me" - hee hee.

Hello dear!
You may be right that if many users has 'liked' the post, all may not be listed due to lack of space. As regards showing the names in order is concerned, I feel that it if on 'first come first served basis'. Yes, you are very right that 'you' means 'Me'. You are really intelligent.

It do not think it has anything to do with those who are not following. I feel if there are more than 2 then they use this option. Just a hunch.

@yugocean - It is good to hear that now you have a way to know about a user who has not been following you. It is always fruitful to follow each other.
Would you mind messaging me your twitter handle?

Yes, if you press the 'other person' option, you could come to know who all you are not following but who have either liked or commented on your post. This way, you could follow them instantly.

It is revamped mylot and there are some new features, which were not there in the older version. So we are trying to understand nitty gritty of the new revamped site..
Won't you agree with me that I had to write a catchy title so as to get responses to my discussion.

This is new knowledge for me in Mylot. But, my question, if you have 100 person liked your post, who 75 among them are your connections, is it possible it mentioned all those 75 names? I wonder if 70+ will be in 'other people'

Thanks for appreciating my discussion. I started it thinking that it may help other users to clear the doubt about 'other person'. I found it a good option because if a user has 'liked' my post then he would have read my post and I feel that I should follow that user.
