Hey guys, good afternoon! ( or day to those in different time zones) So I'm moving to a new place in around a month, and I'm pretty excited about what comes next. At the same time, its sad leaving a place I lived in for over 15 years, most of my childhood memories of growing up happened here. Do you sometimes miss your childhood home? How long have you lived there? Any tips for moving? I'm excited!!

I have moved from the place where I was born for greener pastures. Although I have been staying here for the past 20 years, I still regard this city as a temporary home. I think I will go back to stay and die in my hometown in my last days.

@Boonie1 How about you? Are you staying in the city where you were born? There is bound to have deep emotions attached to the childhood place.

We did that too. On the last day when everyone came to wish us goodbye and looking at the empty house that we were about to leave I could not control my tears.

I never miss my childhood home, one reason being I never, ever got the bedroom I wanted, no matter where we lived Fifteen years! Yes I can see how that can be an exciting move yet bittersweet. Best of 'luck' with the move and new apartment.

I have lived in this house for thirty years. It is my children's childhood home. I will miss what it was, but not what it is now. I am looking forward to a new home that belongs to hubby and I but has lots of room for family to visit.

I've lived in the same house for most of my life. Now we're looking for a new home but finding it difficult to find one that meets our requirements. I'm terrified of having to pack everything and move to a new place.

I lived in my Dad's house for 25 years. He built it himself. Now it has been sold and it is sad.

That can get rought, but also teaches you a lot early on I've spend a lot of time out of the house, 3 years in the army primarily, but its still home.
