Why do you do what you do?

Have you ever wondered why you do the things you do?
Is it by compulsion or passion?
Is it where you wanted to be in your life right now?
Are you happy with yourself at this stage of life?
Why you do what you do? It is serving a purpose to fulfill your biggest dreams?

Dreams, may or may not fulfill, but you have to keep the hearth going, if you have to eat. So the trade off is happy only for some soul, who may find himself fulfilling his dreams in his work.

@excellence7 My pleasure Kevin! It is nice to keep the talk going. dreams are surely the stuff you have to keep talking about. Especially if you have to see them come true in your life.

@gregario888 I think we need to dream big and be obsessed about the dreams. Only then, we'll have a definite purpose in life. If we are not dreaming big enough, we are not exploiting our full potentials.

And if you had to choose between what you want to do and what you need to do, what would you choose?

But don't you think that doing what you have to is somehow a compulsion or because you feel like just being a product of this society? Don't you want to do things differently instead of doing different things? Don't you want to change the routine of your life to something more passionate and creative?

@excellence7 well
I want to
But there is always a rule in conducting me of doing something passionate and creative things which kills our creativity

I recently figured out my ultimate passion in life is to become a professional philanthropist. Big dream, I know, but now I feel like I have a purpose. Before this time, I was very depressed about the state of the world and felt quite helpless. I didn't believe in the world, and I didn't believe in myself. Finding my purpose allowed me to have a vision for myself to make a difference.
I go by the saying, "the purpose of life is a life of purpose".
I'm on a mission to save the rainforest! I have a project started to create a local event for a fundraiser. Big project going at a snails pace to achieve, but it doesn't take the world to make a change. It takes a few passionate proactive people. So I hope to be one of them! Never give up, never surrender!
