Read the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, its a smart book that goes over that(or watch the not as good movie)
What gives our life meaning is the fact they are not forever. When you dedicate your life to achieve something, that gives it purpose and becomes the reason to live, and its diffrent for every one
